Here's the Present Continous Tense
One of our latest topics with P2 has been the Present Continuous Tense. As learned in class, we must use the present continuous tense when we're talking about an action which is taking place right now. The Silly Billy Band would like to explain to you what that means in a funny and quirky way...

Adjectives are used to describe
Our P3 students have been concentrating on adjectives lately. They have been getting accustomed to recognizing all sorts of different adjectives being used in a sentence.
As we all should know, adjectives are the words which help describe nouns. This fun song showcases the qualities and varieties of different adjectives...

Pre-School moments
We've started lessons with Pre-school, focusing on lots of reading. Our goal is to get the students to become independent readers as soon as possible by making them understand the importance and great benefits of reading.
The best advice I could give any parent is to encourage your children to read more and more every day, as the wealth of knowledge they will acquire from habitual reading simply can't be matched through any other means.

The power of the possessive
Possessive pronouns help us understand which things belong to whom. Primary 2 spent their period today practicing the possessive pronouns: my, your, his, her, our and their.
My: Belongs to me.
Your: Belongs to you.
His: Belongs to him.
Her: Belongs to her.
Our: Belongs to us.
Their: Belongs to them.
Here's a catchy song to help you revise them:

Her: Belongs to her.
Our: Belongs to us.
Their: Belongs to them.

Pronouns, pronouns and more pronouns...
In Primary 1 we have been going through the personal pronouns and practicing them as much as possible. It is never a bad time to review such basic concepts of grammar, because of their importance in helping us gain a strong command of the English language. The following video is a very fun song intended to add some excitement into this sort of lesson. InshaAllah we'll be able to practice our pronouns in class, as well as the song, very soon!

Get ready for our English Campaign!
We have already begun our new English Campaign, with the goal of eliminating all of those common mistakes the students make in their daily speech, in order to beautify their English.
Our first step has been to decorate the classrooms with a wide array of colourful posters, which will remind the students of the correct usage of several English phrases while making their surroundings more interesting with the intricate and attractive designs employed in these posters.
Here are a few samples...enjoy them and join us on our great campaign!

Capital Letters & Periods!
Today, in our Primary 1 class, we went over the usage of capital letters & periods.
Dear students, please always remember the two important rules that we repeated over and over again during our class today:
- Every sentence starts with a CAPITAL LETTER.
- Every sentence ends with a period.
These are very basic and very important rules that you must learn NOW. If you leave it for later, it will be TOO LATE!
Check out these videos I found about the right usage of capital letters and periods. Insha Allah, if you pay enough attention and keep practicing, you will soon master this very important lesson in proper English.
